During a Reiki treatment the client lays down fully clothed in a quiet safe space, meditative gentle music is very useful in creating a nice environment. You should make sure that you are not going to be disturbed for the length of the session. So make sure that the phone is switched of and you will not be having any interruptions.

Make sure that your client is warm and comfortable, a mattress on the floor makes a good treatment area but make sure that you can get all around your client and wont make yourself stiff by bending to much. Have some towels or blankets to hand, you may find your Client gets cold as they deeply relax.

You can then state your intention to give a healing session, for example: I intend to give (name) a Reiki Healing, I ask that all energies flow for the Highest Good in accordance with Divine Will.

You can then sit quietly for a moment, draw your Reiki symbol (’s), place your hands in the
prayer position and imagine the healing energy entering your crown chakra moving down to your heart and flowing down to your palms.

You can then begin by placing your hands in the positions listed and holding them there for 3-5 minutes. Or you may wish to use your intuition and move your hands wherever your inner knowing guides you. If you are sensitive you may feel a warmth or tingling sensation your hands. When the sensations subside a little you can then move to the next position.

Generally, placing the hands on the Clients body produces warmth or heat and holding the hands above the body produces feeling of tingling, movement, gentle motion or expansion. However this is only a very general guideline, and what ever your Client experiences will be perfect for them.

The more you can step aside from the Ego, and enter a Heart Centered Space, the more powerful the results will be. We only act as channels for the Divine Creator, The Divine Intelligence, or the Power of Unconditional Love.


Try to be as quiet as you can and see if you can get a sense of where to place your hands, the person may have a weak area that needs more energy. Try to let your intuition guide you, and to feel what is happening with the sensations. To finish a Reiki treatment session you may like to sweep you hands slowly down the Clients aura, starting at the crown and moving slowly down the body towards the feet. Do this three times. Make sure that your Client is fully grounded before they get up and move about. It is good practice to offer a small snack i.e a biscuit or similar and a warm drink before the Client leaves, this helps with grounding back into everyday reality.


The more practice that you get the easier it will be, so try to share Reiki treatments as often as you can.
It is very helpful to keep records of all your healing sessions. You might want to keep a spiritual journal detailing your Reiki journey. In it you can record all your feelings and experiences as your Reiki path unfolds.

I found this technique a few years ago and for tonight’s post I felt drawn to share it with you.

Creating your own Orb of Life.

* Imagine/visualize that you are surrounded by life force, that is slowly becoming stronger and stronger…the force field is becoming brighter and brighter. Do this for 2-5 minutes.

* Say directly to the accumulated life force: “You will be generated continuously and you will not fade until I am done with this creation.”

* Imagine a 25¨ ball (approximately 65 centimetres) hovering in front of you.

* Start filling the ball with life force by intending it so. Visualize the ball getting brighter and brighter in a bluish colour. Do this for 5-10 minutes or until you feel, sense, or see that the ball is full.

* Say directly to the ball: “Life force will now be generated continuously and you will never fade or weaken.” (If you are creating and sending a trial Orb of Life you will need to change part 5 to : “Life force will now be generated for three days and will not fade or weaken in this time”)

* You are done and the ball is now ready to use.

Then just sit or lie down and relax for 10-15 minutes.
The Orb will then, as a default, place itself above your head and begin to saturate your body with life force. You do not need to give any instructions to your Orb, as it will, provide you with a steady stream of Life Force 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It will further automatically protect you from negative energies.

You can choose to give it further instructions, if you like.
To give instructions to your Orb; just tell it, in your own words, what you wish it to do, and it will follow your intentions.
Examples could be :
“Orb of Life, please clear my seven charka’s, one by one.”
“Orb of Life, please charge this water/pendant/other item with life force.” (Then wait about ½ a minute before your charged item is ready)

“Orb of Life, please fill this room with Life Force.”
“Orb of Life, please clear this room of negative energy.”

You could use your Orb of life for anything, the only limit being your imagination and it being in Yours, or Another’s Highest Good.

Re-Charge Your Energies.

A wonderful way to begin your day, and indeed to end it is to do this quick energy recharge.
You can do this laying in bed or standing or sitting.

Breath in through your nose, and imagine every cell, atom and sub atomic particle in your body filling up with fresh clean energy.

Pause, and then hold onto this fresh energy as you slowly breathe out through your mouth.
As you breathe out, imagine all the stale, negative, toxic energies leaving your body.
You can ask that this expelled energy be transmuted into pure energy, or visualise it passing through a violet flame to return it to a pure state.

Perform this exercise about ten times for the best effects.

As with all energy work, your intent is very important, if you intend something, it will be so.

Thought Energy.

When we come to understand that thoughts are a vibration of energy, we will know why they are so important in manifesting what we want, and of course what we don’t want as well.

When we think, we are sending out vibrations of a fine ethereal substance
These vibrations are as real as the vibrations of light, heat, electricity or magnetism. Think of the vast spectrum of light vibrations that exist and we are only able to see a small part of that vast spectrum with our physical eyes. Thoughts are at a higher vibrational rate than the vibrations of heat and light.

Some people who are very sensitive may be able to sense thought vibrations emanating from others, this is called telepathy.

So we can learn from this that not only are our thoughts creating our personal word they are also creating the world at large. Everything adding to everyone else’s thought forms to create the world we live in now.

Protection.

Protection is a very important part of spiritual and healing work, in every situation in life there will be an energy exchange between other people. It’s therefore important to make sure that you don’t allow other people’s negative energies to enter your auric space.
The auric field surrounds every living thing and contains many different layers.
It extends out to around two to three feet from the human body. It so important they keep your aura clean and protected. There are many tools to help you to this. You can use physical exercises to draw the aura in at a distance of two and half to three feet in every direction. Front and back, above and below. Imagine this egg shaped bubble surrounding your physical body. When you can picture your aura surrounding you in your mind, then call for a beautiful golden bubble of light to surround your aura in every direction to a thickness of about six inches. This golden light will help to seal your aura and also give you some protection.

You can call upon Archangel Michael and his legions of angels and ask them to wrap you in a beautiful sphere of divine golden light for protection. You can also request from Archangel Michael that he that he put his blue flame Armour around you.

Archangel Michael is always very close to those the work with the Light and he will always protect those that request it. Again when doing this exercise just trust that is happening and it will be. The aura naturally expands and contracts all the time. Being in nature, especially near water or the sea expands it, as does being with those you love or are connected with. It also expands during healing work or meditation. So if you are in safe place, it’s good to let your aura expand out.
However you want to pull your aura in tightly around you when you are going to crowded or negative places.

Staying Grounded.

Practicing staying grounded is a very important mainstay of all spiritual and healing work. It is no good at working with the energy and higher frequencies if we cannot bring those benefits through into our daily life.

One good way to practice grounding is to sit comfortably in a chair and with your feet firmly placed on the ground. Feel into your base Chakra while imagining a tube of light about six inches in diameter spiraling down into the centre of the Earth. I like to wrap this tube around a beautiful rose quartz crystal. Take a moment to send love and thanks to Mother Earth. You can also imagine roots growing down from the soles of your feet into the surface of the planet. The tube of light can be any colour that you choose.

It’s good to work with different colours to find one that work’s best for you. The more you practice this exercise during the day, the easier you will find it to ground yourself.
Men should ground down from the base Chakra, but for women they should feel into their navel Chakra and then down at the base Chakra and imagine the tube of light spiraling down from the naval Chakra down to the base Chakra and then down into the centre of the planet. It’s important to ground yourself before doing any healing work or any meditation and it’s also good to do it before we sleep at night, and upon waking in the morning.

The important thing with these exercises is to trust, your thoughts are very powerful and what you think of and put energy into will manifest, so don’t worry too much about getting everything right to start with, just trust and you will be grounded.

Re-Claiming Your Energies.

As we go through our day we come into lots of situations and meet lots of people that have an effect on our personal energy system.

Our Energy body, or Auric field can collect these energetic vibrations, and many of them may not be in our Highest good.

A simple exercise, i like to do first thing in the Morning and last thing at Night is as follows,

Stand in a relaxed posture, feet about shoulders width apart. Hands by your sides.

As you breathe in slowly, raise your arms towards your heart area. At the same time as you do this imagine all the energy fragments you have “out there” returning to you with love and acceptance, and re-aligning themselves in your aura.

Next as you breathe out, push your hands out in front of you. As you do this, imagine all the energies that do not belong to you, being returned to their natural place in the Universe. With love and acceptance for their lessons and experiences.

You may wish to complete this sequence between 3 to 5 times.

Stand relaxed for a minute or two, and then return to your everyday reality, safe in the knowledge that your energy field is now much more balanced.
